A bold retelling of Homer's ancient epic, The Odyssey.

In Homer’s Daughter, celebrated novelist and poet Robert Graves reimagines the origins of The Odyssey in a bold, imaginative retelling that challenges everything we think we know about one of literature’s oldest masterpieces.

On the sun-drenched island of ancient Sicily, Nausicaa, a resourceful young princess finds herself caught in a web of political intrigue, family loyalties, and dangerous ambitions. As her world begins to unravel, she must rely on her intelligence, courage and gift for storytelling to restore order to her kingdom. But the tale she creates will reach far beyond her own time, its echoes destined to shape one of the most enduring legends in Western literature.

Blending historical speculation, myth, and psychological insight, Graves offers a fresh perspective on the world of Homer, bringing its women out of the shadows and placing them at the heart of the narrative. Rich in atmosphere, wit, and unexpected twists, Homer’s Daughter is both a compelling historical novel and a fascinating meditation on the power of stories - and on the people whose voices are lost and overlooked.
