The needs and how these are important to spouses are very well explained and it is rather short sighted for some people to have said in their reviews that the book is sexist and and blames the spouse who suffered infidelity. Rather it speaks about the dynamics of meeting each other needs and how forgetting to do so, might leave one party astray. On the other hand the book does not go into deeper psychological reasoning, does not talkuch about maturity and trauma that might affect certaon behaviours, etc. So it is just what it is, a book about needs that helps one to understand oneself and their spouse better on that front, but nothing deeper.
