i liked some parts. it had good steam. but it was too long. after a promising start the story dragged on. the Last third was totally superfluece. the third act conflict was silly. phenella - the heroine - exerted self agency in the beginning and then was helpless naiv and in parts silly. Oswald displayed little wit and wisdome. I liked him in the first book. he was supposed to be the smart one, but he was unable to see obvious Things right under his Nose. I liked to see linnet and Mason here. I liked the relationship she developped with various characters. but I nearly lost interest in the couple.
