A fun, light fantasy with great humor and a sweet gay romance. Watching the two of them find each other is a joy, especially with one character being absolutely hilarious.

I like the voice of the narrator. Very chalming to my ears. But he does not do a good job at acting out the 2 different voices of the 2 main characters. Sometimes they sound disparate and sometimes I cannot distinct between them. Very inconsistent I am afraid.

Also, the ideas of the story are nice and unique but not well executed. Don't expect a good storyline nor a believable Lovestory. I want to know more about how magic works. I am at a loss for how the world works. That should not be the case after finishing the book. It's clearly set out to be a series like a soup: not much action, many cliffhangers and less deep love interests.

I will not continue the series as the first book was a waste of my time.
