Ich liebe Harry Potter, weil es so eine unglaublich schöne Geschichte ist. Das Hörbuch ist toll und verständlich. Super zum Englisch lernen!

Eine fantastische Geschichte und auch gut gelesen in verständlichem, britischen Englisch. Preis-Leistung lohnt sich alle mal! Nur zu empfehlen!

best Harry Potter book

First time in my life that I cried so hard. Every HP book was great in its own way but this VI book is just the most exciting and heartbreaking of them all.

Einfach Potterhaft

Kann mir die Hörbücher einfach immer wieder anhören, Stephen Fry spricht alle Figuren unglaublich gut und angenehm zum Zuhören.

Excellent book, excellent narrated

Unbelievable well read. Sometimes it appeared to me that more as one person was reading. Emotions were served amazingly thru the narrator. This was a very well-done job of Mr. Stephen Fry. Thank you! Since it is good to understand even for me as a non-native speaker, I prefer the English version before the German one read by Mr. Rufus Black. Although Mr. Black indeed did very well too. The Half-blood Prince as such is one of my favorite books within the Harry Potter-Story. I assume its content is well known to almost anyone nowadays anyway and does not need further comment from me. Very nice Story, very well narrated.

Emotional story + great narrating = Perfection

Currently revisiting the audio books and getting them on Audible for convenience, I am both sad and thrilled to have already reached the end of the 6th book.
It has been a wild ride all over again, despite the many times I have read and listened to these books in the past.

In the 5th book, we experienced Harry's anger, his temper, his growing frustration with the world and the people that gave him such a hard time and mistreated him so.
In this book, we see him grow past that, see him grieve and work through his rollercoaster of emotions, make mistakes and learn from them, and we learn about the greater, underlying challenge of facing Voldemort's past, present and future and figuring out how to face him and end the fight for real.

The trio doesn't fight too much, though there is of course the drama between Ron and Hermione for a long while due to Lavender, but even that doesn't feel like too much, and both sides can be related to in one way or another.
I still dislike how tactless Hermione comes across at times, not just being a know-it-all as we know, but almost insufferably so, whereas Harry and his hunches get brushed aside repeatedly and all that is said afterwards is 'oops oh well we couldn't have known, you know..' and it never gets mentioned again.

We learn a lot about Voldy's past and his big secret, and in general there are a lot of things that properly come to light in this book. As a whole, it might well be my favorite after Order of the Phoenix, even if we don't face Voldy himself in this one.


Stephen Fry, as I have said for every HP book so far (and will undoubtedly do again for the next and last one), does a truly marvelous job bringing the story to life and giving the characters fitting voices that don't sound too shrill or exaggerated. His voice is soothing and wonderful to listen to, and I'm already looking forward to visiting this series again. (Which, knowing myself, will probably be fairly soon, despite all the other books I still want to listen to haha)


Already hyped for the next and last part that will pull everything together into the last, big adventure!

I was listening to the original version too though I am German. Because Stephen Fry is a genius speaker.

Hab es dieses schon auf Deutsch... tolles Hörbuch

Ich habe es nebenbei gehört und werde es wieder hören... sehr kurzweilig und empfehlenswert
