The orc apocalypse has arrived.

In the small village of Berring, Calder runs the Broken Mug tavern. He was a gifted swordsman and would have been a war hero if only his side had won. His injured leg tells him his days of fighting are over.

When a dark portal opens in his village’s main square and orcs stream through it, slaughtering his neighbors and setting everything on fire, it brings with it a second chance.

A soldier of light appears and grants Calder a weapon stone so he can help fight against the forces of darkness.

His leg is healed. His body pulses with superhuman strength. And he’ll do anything to protect his people.

Hack, Slash & Burn is a medieval LitRPG fantasy series with portals to other worlds, different classes, stats, levels, and spells.

We listened to this book on our roadtrip. Well narrated, good story of an MC surviving, fighting and winning against bad odds.

The litrpg element is present, sometimes a bit repetitive, but I do love seeing numbers go up.

Please disregard the other negative review, I really don't thjnk the reviewer listened to the whole story. Give this book a chance! We are now listening to book 2.

Todd Herzman is one of my favorite authors.

Well written, entertaining underdog story

Nicht schlecht gemacht, aber ohne originelle Ideen. Absehbar und aufgebaut um einen leicht depressiven Hauptcharakter. Zum nebenbei hören.

Eine der üblichen Progression-Stories

definitely not a feel good story,
the narrator does a real good job but the book is depressive and uninspired.
there is also no character development.
it is not for me..!
