Auch der 3. Teil dieser Reihe catched einen sofort. Jer und Cec sind definitiv meine Lieblinge. Ihre Story hat das perfekte BadBoy und GoodGirl Image. Weniger Smut mehr Romance als in den vorigen Büchern. Sehr schönes Ende. Rina Kent - your talent is awesome !

Love how Teddy brings all the characters to life with his voice. god of Wrath is such a beautiful story of insecurities mixed with love and lust. Loved how Cecily and Jeremy got together getting past their opinions of each other and finding each other regardless.

One thing I want to mention is that primal play doesn't automatically equal consensual non consent. I can give the author the benefit of the doubt to have given the FMC only this level of knowledge while being aware of that fact, but I just want to state this clearly.
There is a lot more to it than cnc and being chased through the woods, it can be playful and funny and harmless as well as non sexual.
What I find amazing is the interweaving of discussing limits (even though the boundaries were merky but we're all here for a dark romance.. anyway, back to topic), std's and the clear use of safewords.

Die Dynamik zwischen Jeremy und Cecily ist für mich der eindeutig schwächste Teil der gesamten Reihe. Das liegt vor allem daran, dass Cecily als Figur extrem toxisch, inkonsistent und widersprüchlich geschrieben ist. Sie wirkt nicht wie eine Partnerin, sondern wie Jeremys größter Fallstrick. Sie studiert Psychologie, gelernt hat sie scheinbar nichts weil niemand wirklich niemand so narziszisch ist wie Cecily. nicht mal Landon oder Kill.

Cecily lügt, manipuliert und lässt Jeremy immer wieder im Stich. Sie stellt ständig andere Menschen über ihn, besonders Landon. schützt jeden außer ihn – und trägt selbst aktiv zu vielen seiner Tiefpunkte bei, ohne Reue zu zeigen. Im Gegenteil. Es entsteht der Eindruck, dass sie eher Jeremys Untergang als seine Stütze ist. Dabei zeigt sie weder echte Reue noch Verantwortungsgefühl, was sie als Charakter sehr schwer greifbar und unsympathisch macht. Teddys stimme ist allerdings der Hammer

Gleichzeitig wirkt es unverständlich, warum ausgerechnet Jeremy – ein eigentlich machtvoller, düsterer, emotional vielschichtiger Charakter – sich zu jemandem hingezogen fühlt, der ihm konsequent schadet. Diese Beziehung fühlt sich unauthentisch, unausgewogen und fast erzwungen an, ohne organische Entwicklung oder echte emotionale Grundlage.

Ich persönlich hätte mir gewünscht, Jeremy würde eine Partnerin bekommen, die seine Tiefe widerspiegelt und ihm wirklich etwas bedeutet – und nicht jemanden wie Cecily, deren Verhalten ihn eher zerstört als stärkt.

Eine Beziehung voller Potenzial, die aber leider komplett an ihrer toxischen Dynamik scheitert. Grade von einem zukünftigen Mafia Leader erwartet man mehr.

Das schlechteste Buch der Reihe

I've read the books last summer, so I'd recommend to read this book, instead of listening.

The series is amazing (I'd also recommend to read the stories of the parents of the main characters, they are in some cases even better than the Legacy of Gods series.)

I love Jeremy and Cecily. They aren't my favorite, but in my top 4.
(Favorites are 1. Brandon and Niko, 2. Killian and Glyndon, 3. Garreth and Kaden, 4. Jeremy and Cecily.)

Teddy Hamilton's voice acting is amazing, as predicted.
The female voice is ok and not annoying.

Buuut it's a dual reading, ergo the woman reads her chapters, male voices and all and Teddy reads Jeremy's chapters. Duet narration is sooo much better. This should be changed.

The female voice actor makes Cecily's father (Xander Knight) sound like an elderly man in a nursing home. Why? Xander is somewhere in his 40s, not 90.
