The story truly came to life in this book and filled a hole in me, I didn’t know existed. Being able to experience the feelings I did when I was younger again, only this time knowing that it did in fact get better is heartwarming and healing.

The author manages to convey the two main characters feelings and struggles in a way that is so very relatable I was put back to being a teenage girl in High School falling for a girl for the first time. And I really wish I would have had a book like this back then to make me feel less alone in figuring out my sexuality, to make me feel like it is ok to be a girl and like girls, that it is just as normal as boys liking girls.
I really hope Kiyoko's story will help do that for lots and lots of young women out there. And I also totally recommend everyone else to listen to this story. I believe it will help all those around queer young adults to really see their struggles and become a better ally. And to the older queer peeps out there, this book is like a cozy blanket and hot chocolate on a gray and rainy winter's day for your inner queer child's mending heart.
To all the queer girls and young women out there, you are not alone in this. Love your queer self, you will be ok ❤️
