For others who lost contact with loved ones during the frantic first hours and days of the Omega outbreak, their ghosts manifest in the nagging possibility that a wife or child or mother or sibling may still be alive out there, somewhere, struggling to survive amongst the multitudes of walking corpses and roving bands of murderous breathers.
So as the Eden survivors prepare their rural Utah compound for the coming fall and winter they find that the herds of dead patrolling the nearby State Route aren't their only enemy.
Idle time seems to be giving power to their ghosts. And with each perceived whiff of familiar perfume, or flash in the side vision of a familiar form that proves to be nonexistent, the lure of wanting to know their fate begins to affect some of the group adversely.
Even after attaining a modicum of closure in the high country of central Idaho, Duncan Winters continues to seek solace for his loss at the bottom of a whiskey bottle.

horrende speaker/reader
I love the story, but now a different reader is doing the talking, he sounds like effin robot, really unnatural, has a slight lisp, for example he pronounces the word 'pistol' as if he was as gay as can be, its impossible to unhear that. there is so much more, the impersonation of different voices are actual down right horrible. I will see if get thru the next 20 -30 Minutes and if not, I will give that title back and want a refund. the voices on a audio book are extremely important, I have no idea why audible does not have a higher threshold for speakers, some are really good, some are outstandingly great and some are really bad, poor and substandard, its a shame, it looks like I wont know how the story continues, because book 8 all the way thru book 15 (the last in this series) uses the same substandard speaker, by the name of Adam Paul. the great speaker for book 1 thru 7 is Chris Patton, a great voice performer/reader/speaker/storyteller!

The story is really good but the speaker horrible
Würden Sie dieses Buch einem Freund empfehlen? Warum oder warum nicht?
I would not recoment this ebook/audiobook. Buy the normal book and read that. The speaker is the worst i ever heard. It somtimes sounds like a maschine gun... to fast and the voice doens't fit to it.

The characters are all enjoyable. They are all growing or going under in the desatrous time during this apocalypse.
Wie hätte das Hörbuch besser vorgetragen werden können?
Definateley an other speaker. Why they are not using the same as in the others of this series is for me not understandable.
War es für Sie die Zeit wert, sich Ghosts anzuhören?
No!!! Sorry to say that but i have heard nearly two hours and got headaches with this speaker. I buy now the book on amazon and read the rest, because the story is really good and enjoyable.

Don't buy it. Buy the book on amazon.I have all audiobooks from this series and they are all very good. This is the only i have problems with.
