Für mich ist From Lukov With Love eine der schönsten Geschichten seit langer Zeit.
Ich habe gelacht, und wie, ich habe geweint und ich war vom Gefühl immer ein Teil der Geschichte. Yasmin und Ivan sind zauberhaft, unendlich liebenswert und verdammt gut.
Ich finde es faszinierend, wie Mariana jedem Protagonisten Ihrer Bücher einen unverwechselbaren Charakter gibt. Diese Beiden sind meine Favoriten.

This book was absolutly incredible! I just can't seem to get enough of Jasmine and Ivan with all their bickering, their personalities and this total and complete love you can feel coming alive through the narration. And I really enjoyed how their story progressed - the author gave the characters so much time to actually develop a realistic relationship from barley talking to each other over friends to an even deeper relationship and it was beautifully written and composed. The figure skating aspect didn't come too short either though I would have loved to read (or listen to) more of their training and actual coreographies - but that probably would've made the book too lengthy for the broader readership. The focus on this book lies on the love of 2 people for their sport - figure skating - and how to possibly combine it with family and friends. You can feel their love and admiration for their sport throughout the pages and audiobook.

The structure of the single chapters was quite interesting when compared to other books since they sometimes started with an event/ a conversation happening that didn't necesarrily had anything to do with how the previous chapter ended but set sometime in the future. Then there was a recap of what happened before that point and progressed to telling on how it came towards the point of where the chapter started. This structure stood out to me in a few of the chapters but I don't really know if it overtook a majority of the book or not after just one listen-through.

The narration took some getting used to since it was different from quite a lot of the other audiobooks as well. The book is completley told from Jasmines pov but the male narrator overtook the parts where Ivan is talking. Both narrators did an amazung job in bringing this book to life.

This book will forever hold a special place in my heart. Thank you to everyone who's been working on it to bring this story into the world!

Ich bin ein großer Fan von Mariana Zapata. Ich liebe ihren Schreibstil und ihren slow burn. Auch die Umsetzung als Hörbuch dieser Geschichte, die ich vor einiger Zeit schon gelesen hatte, hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Callie Dalton und Teddy Hamilton haben sehr angenehme Stimmen denen es Spaß macht zuzuhören.

Die Autorin hat einfach ein Talent, wenn es darum geht, Charaktere zu entwickeln und sie mir ins Herz zu stopfen, wo sie dann nicht mehr weg wollen. Mal schauen, welches Buch ich mir als nächstes von ihr gönne.

Infinite stars for this story

This Story is written from a single POV and the female narrator is telling us the story of Jasmine the figure skater - as expected. She reads all the characters - male or female - exept for the main male character. So suddenly the male narrator is interrupting the story every time Ivan speaks and I just found it plain irritating tbh.
Why the need for a second narrator? Callie Dalton does an excellent job in general and in doing the male voices.
Nobody else seems to be bothered by this, but maybe someone will like this information before buying the audiobook. I definitely would have.
The story in itself is great by the way, like all of Mariana Zapatas books. :)

Emotional

Ja, die Story ist vorhersehbar und manchmal sind die Charaktere etwas überzeichnet, doch es ist eine schöne Geschichte mit HEA.
Ich mag an Zapata besonders, dass sich die Geschichte langsam entwickelt und die Protagonisten sich nicht sofort anspringen. Tatsächlich unterhalten sie sich, bevor sie unendlich verliebt sind.
Die Stimmen sind sehr angenehm und die passen gut zu den Protagonisten

I really enjoyed the book the first time, but doing a reread really was the key to falling in love with Ivan! And listening to the audiobook was a total different experience again! I love love love these two and this books makes me soo happy!

So much better the second time

Die Geschichte spielt in der gleichen Familie wie das Buch "Dear Aaron" (dem ich leuchtende 5 Sterne vergeben habe. )
Allerdings fällt hier die Story etwas flach aus. Hatte irgendwie keinen Höhepunkt. Und dieses slow burning Romance hat irgendwie gehakt.

Schreibstil wie immer super! Wenn man einen modernen, flippigen Schreibstil mag.

Die Narratoren waren klasse. Die Stimmen haben einfach zur Story gepasst und sie haben toll gelesen.

Alles in allem eine süße Geschichte aber kein must have.
