Genau was Frau erwartet
Tolle Geschichte, die einen sofort in den Bann zieht. Schöne Sprache (Englisch), viel slow burn, viel Mitfiebern. Musste alle Bände durchsüchteln und freue mich auf den nächsten.

Still amazing after reread it
Even though I've already read it, the story and writing style are still unbelievably amazing. The voice over is incredibly as well, it helped me to relax during the weeks of my exams. I can totally recommend it!

Romantisch, wild und spannend
Ein sehr gutes Hörbuch. Die Sprecherin war allerdings nur gut nicht perfekt. Einige Wörter hat sie meiner Meinung nach falsch interpretiert und komisch ausgedrückt.

Vorhersehbar aber spannend
Der Plottwist ist lange vorhersehbar, aber dennoch blieb die Spannung zu jedem Zeitpunkt hoch und ich konnte kaum aufhören mit dem hören. Klare Empfehlung!

Love it

Now we come to this book, also a book that I have wanted to read since I heard about it. I'm honest, I was also scared because I didn't like the last fantasy series I read by Jennifer L. Armentrout at all, but this book sounded promising for whatever it is. Even if she does what she has done with almost every book of her so far and I think it's good that we get a man's description but you shouldn't overdo it because she always lets the protagonist over so weak and willing and that it was about Poppy who had no experience I found it a bit too naive but otherwise I liked the story. The plot and the idea behind it were really good even if some characters get on my nerves (I'll just say the Duke). Nevertheless, in the course of the book I had the feeling that something was wrong and the fact that Poppy trusts everyone right away has unfortunately not made me a personable character. However, I still felt with her in many things and can understand her too, I just wished that she listened more to the people she knows better. In the course of the book it got better and better towards the end, especially because we then learn a lot that a big twist happens that you didn't expect and changes the whole story and makes it interesting. All in all it was a good story and since some things are still unclear to me, I want to know more and I am excited about the second part.

Capturing storyline
Even though I could guess some major plot turns, I loved how the characters evolve. The internal debates about how to trust a truth that goes against everything you ever learned is so relatable. The story got me hooked and I’m looking forward to the next part.
