A chilling, captivating novel about the dark secrets that surface after the shocking disappearance of a charming, mercurial teacher at an elite boarding school.

Who is Francis Fox?

the author invests much time in her characters and their motivations —- she has a fine sense for psychological motivations and also how people’s lives unfold in present-day USA. It is much more than a story about one evil man who is obsessed with early teenage girls. More a portrait of a society in all its facets: those who are pulling it apart or blindly wandering through it or attempting to forge and protect community.

Microcosm of present-day USA in a small patch of New Jersey —- and a good who-dun-it too
