the book and the film, an cailín ciúin are one of the best piece of Irish fiction ever, in my opinion. And to get Aoife McMahon to narrate it was a wonderful stroke of luck.

A hauntingly beautiful masterpiece. While it is a short read, Foster carries more emotional weight than a 500-page novel. Keegan is a true master of restraint, using a deceptively simple narrative to explore the profound depths of childhood, neglect, and found family.

Die Lesung war sehr gut. Die Stimme passend. Claire Jeegan ist eine Meisterin der Erzöhlkunst. Die Erzählung ist kurz aber dicht und hat Tiefe. Sie konzentiert sich auf zwischenmenschliche Beziehungen, die sich in Gesten und alltäglichen Gewohnheiten ausdrückt und eone unglaubliche emotionale Tiefe haben.
