Adrift in a post-apocalyptic world, they only have each other. Is it enough?

A virus that turns the infected into zombie-like killers spreads through a burning world thrown into lawless chaos. Lovers Parker and Adam have escaped to the open sea when they hear a message over the airwaves from a place called Salvation Island - a supposed safe haven.

As in the first book the charakters are fantastic and their developement believable and interesting. even though this is a good bit quiter than the first book, the story is still suspenseful and full of unexpected twists and turns. The new additional charakters are also great and give more depth to the story. However the ending just sucks! they finally arrive at the Island, realized that it is at least partially bad and they dont do shit about it? and I am sorry but you don't just get to be forgiven for trying to rape or suggesting to rape someone, if that place was actually safe or trying to build a safe place for everyone they would have Zero tolerance for that kind of behavior. I really hope this story continues and Bethony get's what she deserves otherwise the whole story is kind of Ruinen for me.
