I'd say the story was a step down from the original trilogy, but I definitely enjoyed to listen.
If you liked the original trilogy, I think you'll find this to your liking as well.
It is well integrated into the universe and produces backstories to certain characters that fit very well with the universe.
Looking forward to the next book from Mira Grant.
