I enjoyed all of the books very much but this story was very gripping. It took me a while to get used to Henrietta Meire because he voice is so shrill.

Best book in the series

Wow! Intense story, fast pace, high tension, superb sleuthing - what more can you expect? True that the story might be too ‘detached’ from real life on the Fens, but it is thoroughly well-constructed and credible by its own means. To me, one of the best books in the series.
