Rules are convincingly bend in the right moment to get out of any dead end but somehow it is still entertaining after probably 300+ hours of listening 😂

here are the sidestories funnier then the mainstory. I would have liked some more space fights like at the start, but still good overall.

Spoiler alert at the end it is a bit like a fairy tale, but it is really catching and amusing

Addictive

The story is good again, after how many books. If you start you need to go on. The story is up and downy winding trough the hours. The speaker as usually absolut fantastic and the joke/fun sometimes hilarious and of course, Skippy is as usually awesome the magnificent. If you like the story till now, don't think about it, get the book. By far the best story and boo from writer and reader out there. I also listen to other books but the stole the ideas and only half baked. Get it!

Exceptional

Already book 13? And I still can't wait for the next one. Although the pace picks up slow at first in this one - that's because I personally find the Maverick detour a little bit boring, although I like the character of major Perkins.
The overall story then really picks up pace and has some real long awaited surprises and plot developments.
The end comes then just a tiny bit too fast - as with some other books of Craig Alanson - he still could improve his style there.

Overall the 'Expedionary Force' series appears like an ingenious and insane crossover between the early Perry Rhodan series and 'Master Eder and his Pumuckl' where Perry Rhodan takes the place of Master Eder (aka Joe Bishop) and the alien intelligence ES (IT) takes the place of Pumuckl in the form of 'Skippy the Magnificient' also known as 'beer can' or ... ah let's not violate the review policy. ;-) Let's just say it is really great fun to listen to this - especially with R.C. Brays unmatched performance.

Mr. Bray at his best. You would never want Skippy to have another voice. The Story is just great. Excellent twists and turns with some of the most hilarious moments of the whole series. Sure you want to bring the pirates’ journey to an end, Mr. Alanson?
