Catherine's books already have the means to make me fall in love and obsess over them, but listening to them makes it so much better. I truly love immersing myself into the story and the mystery with the help of the audiobook, it makes the story so much more intense and gives me a better sense of the characters, the stories, and especially for characters that aren't the main characters, like Sage and Birdie (Calder's daughters).

I also just love me a good single-dad romance and I absolutely adored the relationship between Calder, Hadley, Sage, and Birdie. There is just something so special about the relationship between a new partner and the children of the single parent, and in this case, it was even cuter because Sage and Birdie already had such a profound and deep relationship with Hadley. The way that Had cared for those little girls and how she nurtured and understood them both in a way few others did, I understand why Calder fell even more in love with her when he saw her interacting with his little girls.
