Many helping professionals deal with sadness, death and trauma on a daily basis without the appropriate support to manage their own feelings. Helpers can feel undervalued and overworked and even knowing they need to take care of themselves they are distracted and overwhelmed by the job responsibilities and life. They lack the energy and time to not only take care of themselves but also to actualize their dreams. This book provides the support and hope for those caring individuals as well as providing a step by step process leading to greater health and happiness. Within the book are life stories, and strategies from many helping professionals as well as resources for professional development about addiction, grief, and trauma that increase a much needed level of comfort about those topics helping to decrease job stress and provide support. Gillian believes we shouldn’t have to face these situations alone and while the job differs many of the situations and arising feelings are similar. We all possess inner strength to cope, and at times it becomes unmanageable and we should all feel supported and encouraged during that time. This book is relevant and appropriate for all of us, as caring compassionate humans in society’s changing climate.©2017 Gillian Stevens (P)2026 Gillian Stevens Persönliche Entwicklung Persönlicher Erfolg
