Due to the complexity of Romanian grammar, this book would be extremely confusing for someone with no prior knowledge of the language. Here, Romanian words are translated into English, only for a different form of the Romanian word to be used in the sentence that follows as an example. There is also the questionable introduction of infinitives. One will rarely hear them used in that form in the spoken language.

On the positive side, enunciation by both speakers is clear and though clearly not comprehensive, there are useful expressions and vocabulary.

An error in recording in chapter 5 means that the translations are all wrong/missing (they are same as in chapter 4)! The translation of the title of chapter 2 is also incorrect (same as chapter 3). This is very poor indeed!!

For these reasons, I cannot recommend this book. Nonetheless, it might be interesting for someone with some knowledge of the basics of Romanian wishing to learn a few new expressions by heart.
