Thought-provoking and disturbing!
A fascinating book posing many existential questions for us.
Is the age of Homo sapiens as we know it at an end?
Will we willingly meld together with machine in a transhumanist future?
Will artificial intelligence and human-instigated algorithms take over the galaxy?
Harari spins out various future scenarios that our humanist and capitalist philosophies or religions don't prepare us for.
Used to seeing humans as the apex of creation, as the universe's way of knowing itself as Carl Sagan put it, it's therefore disturbing to read that the universe may be dominated by unconscious algorithms unleashed by their Homo sapiens creators.
At times, Harari repeats himself and I found myself thinking that it could have been a shorter read. Still he livens it up with entertaining examples.
I enjoyed his description of dataism as a new religion. Rather than trying to preserve privacy, we should embrace data sharing, connect up to others with as many devices as possible and give our social, medical etc. data willingly to google et al. Then we'll know who to marry and how to stay healthy... Humanity will become one huge data-processor for the benefit of all. Those refusing to participate will be viewed as heretics...
I still prefered his final chapter of Sapiens on the future as the quality of writing was more literary: dramatic and extremely elegant.

Simply amazing
This book really opens your mind. It doesn't push an agenda on you - like other such books often feel like they do. Instead it just shows how silly our ideologies and beliefs and especially brains can be. I learned so much about myself listening to this and I had to stop what I was doing multiple times to acknowledge how strong a sentence resonated with me. Highly recommended!

Very impressive and far sighted.
Harari combines deep insight with an astonishing sense of humor. Together with Perkins pleasing voice it's quite difficult to stop listening.

Awesome read
The theories and arguments presented on the book opened my mind to a new universe of understanding. I recommend specially the last 3 chapters. This book is a great read together with Life 3.0

Meiner Meinung nach ein gutes Buch.
Toll gelesen und Inhalte die einen zum Nachdenken bringen. vorher sollte wann evtl. schon sapiens von Yuval gelesen haben. ich finde sie gehen Hand in Hand

Thought provoking taken to a new level!
Harari manages to point out the big picture and the (yet) empty parts of the canvas of mankind.
Loved Perkins voice!
When finishing listening to this podcast, the first thought that struck me was: Who or what wrote this book that is so appealing (to me) and why did I encounter it (or viceversa)?

Looking for food for thought?
Then this is a great book.
I still, as in the first book, have to object to the very vague definition of "religion" but I do understand the author's reasons do do so and have to say: This book is worth a good time of listening to for hours.
Enjoy.
Oh, and yes, it's about time we become the Borg.
