Inhaltsangabe

Great story but Oh! the narrator

Story is another belter. More angles on Flavia's relatives' spy work. As with all the other audio books in the series, I love the story, but Jayne Entwistle spoils it for me. She doesn't read the character too badly but mispronounces so many words (laboratory is not pronounced in the same way as lavatory, love) that it sets my teeth on edge and takes some effort to ignore.
Get another narrator! Please!

Nice story, not so keen on the speaker

I liked the story very much, but I think Jayne Entwistle‘s way of reading it is terrible! I am very glad that for the rest of the series there is an alternative version with a different speaker available!

Love it ♡

A bit different than the previous stories as it‘s not as much detective work and more personal in some ways. great though, especially as it adds more depth to some characters we already know and also some depth to the de luce family history as well.
i love the strangeness of everything. we knew that harriet died many years ago, finally we hear why and naturally there‘s an interesting, and dramatic story behind it. i wish there was a bit more Undine content as she seems like a match to Flavia in some ways.
I can‘t relate to comments criticizing Jane Entwistle‘s reading. I love the way she reads the story and i also have no troubles with her pronunciation (and i‘m not an English native so..)

still a nice character

Still the character Flavia is sweet, smart an charming. And Mrs. Entwistle is reading her well. Only the story is getting weaker and stranger. I was a bit disappointed.
