Inhaltsangabe

Something very strange -- and sinister -- is going on in the Russian woods at Borodino. In a place called Mrs. Ivanova's Charm School, young KGB agents are being taught by American POW's how to be model citizens of the USA. The Soviet goal -- to infiltrate the United States undetected.

When an unsuspecting American tourist stumbles upon this secret, he sets in motion a CIA investigation that will reveal horrifying police state savagery and superpower treachery.

Great book.

An intriguing story. Excellently written by the author and sublimely read by Scott Brick. A story about the cold war which is also very interesting for women.

Thriller

One can hardly stop listening to this book. It is dense and chilling. It is extremely brutal.

The time of the plot is the cold war. It starts off with the surfacing of information, that a lot of American POWs from Vietnam are shipped to the USSR, where the are used to train Russian Citizens. And basically, both the Soviets and the US are using ruthless methods to damage each other.

The thriller gets its density from both sides trying to get control of the situation.

DeMilles central figures are in all novels the same. Undisciplined, extremely tough guys, usually liased with a 20year younger wife. This time, the guy is even a general.

Why only 4 points? DeMill has a reputation to chop off the end of the storys. The end is (looking at the recent past) may be even more believeable then 10 years ago, but still somewat unrealistic.

Still a recommendation to read.
