Extensive Name Dropping doesn't do it.
As somebody who's very interested in the myths surrounding Hollywood I'd been looking forward to listening to this audiobook. Unfortunately the events narrated are pretty trivial and don't generate an interest in readers/listeners. It doesn't suffice to throw some famous names in the mix, the events that are described, the main characters and the storytelling ought to be compelling as well. In this regard the novel is sadly lacking IMHO
