Emotional, empathetic, personal

Overall I did enjoy listening to this book. It is empathetic and emotional and approaches many sad aspects of being a woman. What I liked especially is how personal it is, no generalising, no forcing things into a neat narrative. I did not always agree with the author but she described her thoughts and feelings so openly that I could feel compassion for her easily. Some other observations felt so spot-on that I actively nodded in agreement. Sometimes it felt like the heroine is way too negative about herself but I like that she owned it and didn't shy away from the darkness. It came recommended as a funny read and I really don't understand why, it's literally the opposite of that ninety percent of the time. But I still think it's worth reading.
