Über diesen Titel
I tried to hide from the truth and that didn’t work.
I tried to run from him and that definitely didn’t work.
What was next for me but to try and work off my punishment? One that ended with me sacrificing my own heart the second his Lost Siren finally walked into his life; the one I found for him.
I took this as my cue to leave. My cue to run and never look back. That had been the plan and he made a promise to let me go. A promise he quickly broke.
Kaiden Wrath was not the type of Enforcer to let go of what he wanted and what he wanted was me, the author of his story.
Now, the biggest question of all remained: would our ending be the happy ever after my heart hoped for or was it doomed to be a demon's tragedy?
©2022 Stephanie Hudson (P)2023 Podium Audio#3 Wrath`s Siren and #4 Emme`s Enforcer tells Kaiden and Emme`s story. It's written in dual POV, which works well here. Their story is my favorite in this series so far.
Kaiden and his brother Hel(mer) are somewhat reminiscent of Jared and Orthrus (from the Hellbeast series). Hel, the voice of reason, and Kaiden, the quick-firing and impulsive fuse.
Emme's fictional novel dream man (Kaiden) suddenly becomes real here, plunging Emme into an emotional chaos that gradually develops into a nightmare.... - "Letting go of someone out of love" turns out to be a horror scenario in which both suffer. Add to that negative external forces; and you're plunged into a downward spiral that pulls the rug out from under your feet.
An impulsive action and the possessive nature of a demon turn out here - fortunately - to be a savior for a HEA.
I love these two.
