Ken and company find that with the introduction of the Threadspawn, the whole dungeon becomes far less friendly. Even the populace on Earth is spooked.

Which is why the UG and Haylon sends Ken and a few others on the press tour. Though, even that can't keep Ken from the action. The Threadspawn invade Earth—meanwhile Ken is recruited fully into the demon hierarchy.

Now he has to balance loyalties to the UG and the Hierachry while the Threadspawn threat grows ever closer.

It is still a good and partly exciting story, but with the end of the raid/ discovery of star city some elements of the earlier books got lost.

There is hardly any dungeon diving any more. The thing with the school: They are stronger than most of the former elite and they are not really diving any more. Why are they sitting in class and doing multiple choice tests? Their teachers met the new races at the same time as the students…

About the progression: No stats at all in this book. I know that Ken got stronger than his classmates with his special ability, but now everybody can get an ability like that. Crimson and Heather are still much stronger than him. And the new races are much stronger than both. As this is already the tenth book, I hope to see some progress in this are in the next books.
