Woody’s Walking Y Ranch is toast.
Dry toast.
Desiccated!
Senator Bell rammed through a law with the grand title ‘Securing Montana’s Economic Development while Ensuring Respect for Existing Dry Gulch Water Rights’. Behind the legalese, the cunning politician’s act will deny life giving water to the Walking Y with a couple murders.
The Senator’s allies, the Sicario clan, will enforce the evil intent of the law with sharp knives and blazing guns. A few bodies are but a modest price for this so-called progress. They also plan ‘Vendicare’ to kill not only the Walking Y’s Irish foreman along with the pesky orphans, but hope to have Judge Hawthorne’s wife admire the grass from the underside.
Meanwhile Jennifer Hathaway must defend her budding family with a steady rifle, while the young ones try to head off the attacks on horseback. Fred masters that modern wonder, the telephone. He aims to have the Walking Y’s foes at each other’s throats.
But so doing puts his own on the line…
