In my opinion, Reynolds stories just arent made for a short version. The two stories in this book arent bad, but the characters are flat and except for one not interesting whatsoever, and the story cant develop enough for you to get sucked into the awesome ideas that usually get delivered. The first book is somewhat interesting but only lives off of the cool background idea withojt having too much content. The second one is a pattern-juggler deep dive that lacks tension. You can listen to it if its free but dont pay money for it.

Not quite the Reynolds I'm used to

Vielleicht finde ich die Pattern Juggler auch einfach generell ziemlich langweilig. Jedenfalls habe ich nach der Hälfte von Turquoise Days gar nicht mehr richtig zugehört, was normalerweise nie passiert.
