Devil in winter ist einer meiner liebsten Kleypas Romane, daher wollte ich ihn auch als Hörbuch genießen. Die Sprecherin war sehr gut, tat sich nur ein bisschen schwer bei den Männerstimmen. Besonders Sebastian war mir zu oft seelenlos, auch wenn er im Buch als arrogant und abgeklärt beschrieben wird.
Alles in allem aber ein schönes Hörerlebnis.

Gut geschrieben und gelesen, bisher gefällt mir die komplette Wallflower Serie sehr gut.
Es hat mich nicht, dass eine andere Sprecherin gelesen hat. Sie hat das gut gemacht.
Sind meine ersten Bücher von LK. Bin gespannt was es weiter von ihr zu lesen gibt. Jetzt geht es erst einmal weiter mit Daisy.

My favorite part of the wallflower series! I loved the book which I read several times, and the narration didn’t disappoint me either! Lovely narrator - what a great listen/read!

While Evie is my favorite of the Wallflowers and I kind of suspected that she would end of with St. Vincent, the transformation of these so very different characters and them falling in love happened a bit too quickly for my taste. I can follow why Evie fell in love him, but not really why St. Vincent fell in love with her...the story seems to be more focused on her feelings than on his. And it also didn't help that in the middle of the series, the audio is not performed by my beloved Rosalyn Landor, but by Mary Jane Wells. I thought that she did a perfect performance for Evie but St. Vincent sounded smokey, and raspy and as if he was chocking on something the whole time...men in general don't seem to be her strength.

This will forever be one of my favourite historical romances.
Wallflower Evie Jenner, daughter of a gaming club owner, is in a difficult situation. Her relatives from her mothers family won‘t let her visit her dying father, and moreover want to marry her to her cousin so that they can keep her dowry - and so she runs away. She goes to Sebastian, Lord St. Vincent, who is in desperate need of finances (read the previous book!) and convinces him to elope with her.
Evies goal is to have her husbands name and protection, Sebastians is to receive her dowry. But along the way they might discover that they are better suited than they thought.
