The story of Sam who gets tossed into the magic world is fantastic. Sam is a a man in his 40s, so this is not about discovering your sexuality and first experiences. He does a great job dealing with the hellhounds and I love how it all comes together in the end. The side characters are well written and unique. And they get their own books.

I loved this book and the narrator did an amazing job.

I really enjoyed this book. It is a feel good romance with a little detective work and suspense, great and consistent character arcs, very entertaining (really funny and very well written!) and not only about sex or filled with unrealtic sexual attraction.
The speaker did a terrific job of matching his tone of vioice with what is happening to the main charachter during different scenes in the book. I needed a while to get used to his voice, which is just my personal prefernece to certain tones of voice, but in the end I really thought that the voice is fitting for the main character.
I'm really happy about it and thank the author and speaker both! :)
Trigger warnings:
Sex: None! All sex scenes are tastefully done and their isn't any consent problem. Gay sex scenes, tasteful but explicit language.
Violence: Not much. A death occurs (with a bit of blood).
Other: There is some mention of child neglect (emotionally) and homophobia. Abduction and being forced to give sampels/get medically examined is part of the book (but the later is not mentioned in graphic detail).

This book has become one of my favorites.
Whenever I have a really bad day, it makes me laugh and my mood improves dramatically.
In fact, it's probably one of the funniest books I know.
Sweet, kinda dorky Sam who was really just looking for a new job and ends up with his personal favorite sexy demon. Something like hook ups to enemies to lovers but with demons and vampires etc.
There are so many quirky and adorable charakters and all of them are so authentic and individual.
I'm really glad they get their own books, too.
I dont think the choice of narrator could have been better!
Joel Leslie is perfection. He managed to give all the characters such unique voices and accents, that you always know, who is speaking.
I love it !

perfect for bad days

I listend to this Audiobook and i really wanted it to work for me but it didn't. The story was ok but nothing special. I didn't feel the connection between the characters. There were so many great opportunities to write about special moments between them but they were kind of all skipped? On the other hand there was a scene where one of the characters got drunk und this was written so long and it was really not good :( And the spice felt so boring. I really tried to like it but in the end i was happy it endet. So sorry because i love paranormal stories so much, this was just not for me. Preformance as always amazing!
