Great story as always. However, the monks are getting way too annoying (not a bad thing if we get a satisfying ending)
Two books ago, I was already like, "Someone needs to test their fate!" and they’re still out and about, acting all high and mighty.
I doubt this will change in the next book, but I really hope Zac brings them some real chaos once he leaves Ultom, maybe after he learns that his girlfriend is still alive and has been used like a tool by them.

Defiance of the fall for me personally is one of the best litrpgs and I am still looking forward for each book.
The series has deviated quite a bit from the original spirit of the first chapters. This is a logical consequence of the broadening scope. I realize that it is a very difficult task to describe or summarize what’s going on in an entire universe.

Many of the terms, names, antagonists, and protagonists of the different factions are lost on me. That’s because they haven’t been properly introduced or fleshed out. This makes them feel replaceable and confusing whenever a new name is brought up. It was extremely hard to follow what was going on, and I often had no idea what was being talked about in a new scene. On numerous occasions, I had to rewind and listen again.

It’s also not helpful that there are two versions of Zach, and you can’t easily distinguish between them while listening.

The first ten audiobooks I could follow and enjoy while doing something else. But if you asked me for a detailed summary of what has happened in this book, I’d be in trouble.

I would really appreciate a more detailed summary at the beginning of the next book. Take 30 minutes to summarize and explain what’s going on.

I liked the book as always. Nice mix of cultivation and litrpg. Sadly next book is coming out in a year but I think the Author is taking a break before he the next arc starts

Not to bad

Wie einige Andere schon geschrieben haben, leider das schlechteste Buch. Es wirkt wie ein Füller ohne wirklich Inhalt. Auch wird es schwierig der Geschichte zu folgen, viele unterschiedliche Charaktere und Orte, ohne zugehörige Geschichte.
Es werden oft und lange sehr verschwommene Konzepte beschrieben, die Kräfteverhältnisse sind willkürlich und die Fähigkeiten des Protagonisten undurchsichtig und anscheinend alle nutzlos.

Auch finde ich es frustrierend dass alle "Bösewichte" immer alle Informationen haben, die Zukunft vorraus sehen und ohne Probleme an jeden Ort gelangen können.
Wird mittlerweile auch etwas repetativ - Feinde wissen alles, sind viel stärker, planen Komplott und Zac schafft es gerade so zu gewinnen.

Ich hoffe der nächste Band wird wieder gut, da ich diese Serie sonst eigentlich liebe!

Sorry, langweilig, unstrukturiert, einfach nur um mal wieder was geschrieben zu haben… wenn das nächste Buch nicht deutlich besser wird war es das für mich!

I enjoy the story but at the same time it is getting very confusing to be honest. Everything is getting more and more grand and at least for me it is not easy anymore to follow what is going on. I'm also having a hard time remembering all the names of all the characters but I guess when a story arrives it it's 15th part that is quite normal.

The story was boring to me. I enjoyed the past 14 Books and there were always some parts I skipped through but this time the stakes did not feel real. The characters felt one dimensional, especially the supporting cast. I don't really enjoy the abstract concepts described in the books and I put that down to personal preference. But that never bothered me as much because the story was exiting. I still listened to all of it, so it couldnt have been that bad, but still bad enough to write this review.

Find die Serie echt nicht verkehrt. aber es reicht mit den ganzem BlaBla - so ein Pseudo geschwurbel um die ganzen Konzepte... echt es wird immer komplizierter und damit langweiliger. Es passiert quasi nichts nur belangloses Zeugs. Band 16 werd ich mir noch antun aber wenn das auf dem Niveau von 15 bleibt verbrauche ich meine Guthaben für besser Litrpg. Schade, warum das so abfällt... wahrscheinlich wenn man die Story endlos ausquetscht un Geld zu machen, aber das dann doch eher kurzsichtig.

I want to preface this by saying I actually quite like Defiance of the Fall. But this book is honestly just bad. The author has a tendency to talk about spiritual/ cultivation concept without explaining them and it is usually just flavor text in my opinion that you can tune out. This time however it is literally just the entire book without explanation or meaningful plot progression. The speaker is excellent imo, but the reaver and Ogras having the same voice is annoying especially because he is just a subpar of him.

Worst part of the whole series - by far:

All concepts are growing increasingly detached - at this point there is no reason for anything just another Void/Faith/Ethernal/Mystery/Tribulation/Time/whatever Energy. That just solves anything and everything. The base mechanics like Attributes, Skills, .... are just worthless by now and another bullshit just pops in to solve everything. That leads to hours and hours of senseless ramblings. Just take the last chapter, 0 value.I had to skip whole chapters to endure till the end.

Full of side stories that are absolutely unnecessary for the story. I can't remember half of them and I don't care about any 1. The generic love story about a caring wife, some irrelevant outsiders, ... just stop it

seems like the series is coming to an end. Release for nr 16 is in 1 year.
