Ich liebe dem Humor von Harry Dresden. Ich liebe die Mischung aus Zauberei und Krimi. Die Stories sind immer wieder ganz besonders und nicht so leicht vorhersehbar. Die Beziehung zwischen Susan und Harry ist genau so spannend wie die zwischen Murphy und Harry. Die Freundschaft zu Michael ist so einzigartig wie die Kulisse in der das Abenteuer stattfindet. Aber die ganze Story wäre nur halb so gut, ohne diesen Leser, der Harry Dresden Leben einhaucht und die Story so liest, als hätte er sie selbst erlebt. Ein dickes Dankeschön an James Marsters!

Meines Erachtens hat man mit James Marsters einfach einen genialen Sprecher gewählt. Ich habe alle bisher erschienenen Hörbücher der Dresden Files Serie gekauft und höre sie regelmäßig. Mr. Marsters gelingt es, den einzelnen Protagonisten Leben einzuhauchen. Auch als Buch ist die Serie sehr zu empfehlen. Aus Erfahrung rate ich jedoch jedem der der englischen Sprache einigermaßen mächtig ist, nicht die deutsche Übersetzung zu lesen/hören. In Deutsch bin ich ein wenig enttäuscht darüber, wie wenig der Übersetzer von den einzelnen Charakteren verstanden hat und der Sprecher wirkt eher uninspiriert.
