Ali Wong ist in „Dear Girls“ genauso offen und ehrlich wie in ihren Netflix Specials. Im Buch greift sie nun aber auch ernstere und sehr persönliche Themen auf.
Ihre Erzählweise ist lustig, frech und immer authentisch und fühlt sich ein bisschen an, als würde man mit ihr bei einer Tasse Tee auf dem Sofa sitzen. Jede Sekunde wert!

I loved this book and it was really insightful for me. I just wish it was longer! The addition of the last chapter was sooo interesting, it was great to hear his perspective and it really touched my heart (even though I don't want kids myself).

This book is worth purchasing if you like to understand Ali better, admire her ambition but also her honesty.
She writes not only about things that went great, also about awkward encounters with sex and dating and drugs.

Zu Beginn ali style und sehr witzig. Ab der Mitte des Buches nicht mehr so gut. Fühlt sich eher an als wüsste sie nicht mehr, was sie erzählen soll.... Und der Schluss ihres Mannes, absolut langweilig!

I really liked some of her standups but I wish I did not buy this. I have nothing against explicit language but in this book her stories often just sounds trashy and not funny. But most important: Not once did I laugh. Do not recommend.
