The main character is, just like the story itself, endearing. Emmie is kind and gentle and has had a lot of bad luck in her life. I clung onto the story because of her.
Some plot points are foreseeable but that doesn’t take away from it at all.
This story takes you on a nice journey featuring warm characters and the feeling for what friendship and home truly mean.
