Great story

I listened to this for a book club discussion. I'm not really into romance, but this sounded interesting.

It 'was' interesting. Very well written, very convincing, and somehow, I fell in love with both protagonists. I really had no idea how this would end, and for a while I was scared: after all, Aaron is deployed in a war zone.
I won't tell you if any of what I was afraid of came true. Suffice it to say that I loved how the story and the main characters developed, and how the story unfolded. I was drawn in right from the start and found myself listening every free minute I had.

The narrators did an awesome job. Having a female and a male narrator reading the emails of the respective protagonists worked out brilliantly. It made the whole story even more believable -- if that is possible. I can't comment on the accents because English is not my first language, but I had no problems to understand either of the narrators.

I can recommend this to anyone who loves a good story.

Sehr schönes Hörbuch. Die Hauptkaraktärin war etwas verkrampft, aber in allem fand ich die Geschichte sehr schön. Schade war nur, dass der männliche Sprecher nicht mehr von der eigentlichen Story erzählt hat. Er war nur bei den Konversationen via E-mail eingebunden. Das fand ich etwas schade. Seine Stimme ist sehr schön. Das Ende des Hörbuches war auch toll. In allem ein sehr hörenswertes Hörbuch.

this is a wonderful story and could happen anytime and anywhere...
Although I gave 5 stars for narration the third part of the book should have been narrated with both parts...

Die Story ist so süß! Komplett anders als das übliche. Am Ende hab es ein, zwei Stellen welche Recht langatmig waren dennoch volle Punktzahl.
Die Sprecher haben ihre Sache gut gemacht!

Naja..

Ich hab beinahe alles von Marianna Zapata gelesen/gehört und geliebt! Aber dieses hier hat mir nicht wirklich gefallen... Ich weiß immernoch nicht ob ich Aaron mag und irgendwie kam einfach keine Stimmung auf.... Schade..

Everything about this was so cute and so damn relatable for everyone who knows how hard it is to meet people in real life!

Great beginning, week end.

I loved loved loved the beginning, with the first 12 chapters only being emails and chatting. Surprisingly it did not get boring and the characters were just lovely and fun in their communication and how they got to know each other.
However, I did not feel it anymore after they met in person. That part was lengthy and for two grown ups in der mid-end twenties, they were quite prude. The word s** was not damit out loud until the last hour of the book. Overall still good to listen to but after that really strong beginning, I was overall a little disappointed in the end.

Okay I'm not in love with the whole book - but yes i enjoyed it.
The start was a little rough as we get seemingly uninteresting everyday stuff exchanged per mail, and by that i mean we get only the mails, but eventually it does lead to a meet up and i could finally sit back and enjoy.
As always i loved listening to teddy ♡
From the get go both are completely smitten, not because of their characters (which i find odd because that was the fun part about it, right???) but rather because they unknowingly agree that the other is sooooo hot - it was kinda disappointing. The rest of the story then followed the typical romance setup as the exchances per mail become mostly irrelevant. They are hot.as.hell and thus end up together.

Overall enjoyable and i liked the attempt at some character depth. It was nice ;)
