I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. Excellent story, not too much dranks. Thank you Kevin van Whye and everyone who helped in the writing and production!

what a nice story, just a day bevore pride month begins.
i noticed the Harry Potter references, like theater teacher being Trelawny and so on. 90s romcom was on too at times and felt like Love Simon at times.

sometimes it was a bit cheesy and too much, an intimate scene was missing.

the story though, good, the autor notes important.

what i really didn't like was the girl and woman voices, like high pitched, almost like a parody.
Reader normal, we know they're ladies.

After i listend a couple more times, i have to reconsider the high praise i gave beforhand, because the story is really medicore. The more often i listen to it the more i discover what is really wrong and irritating about the story. The author wrote a book without any deep to it, consider what the attemps where when we listen to the auhtors note. The author didn't mention the struggle he has because he is mixed and gay it only focused about him being gay. I mean the author could wrote the story out of the perspetive of Brycen and it would had made a lot more sense because of his fast acceptence. It wasnst even mentioned where he was struggling with being gay in comparison to Eric with his skin colour and where possible priveliged laid with being white and gay and being black and gay. I would have loved if this would have been themed because i like what the author wanted to do but sadly in my eyes didn't achieve.(1.Review)Audible is sooo good! To be honest, i didn't expect much of it. I mean i thought that it will probably be good but i for sure didn't expect for it to be THIS good! and the narrator was a good choice for this Story and added a lot of character to it. I can only recommend this Book, so listen, listen, listen!

To be completely honest: I started listening to this audiobook out of a form of protest. The summary sounded suspiciously like an almost exact copy (just americanised) of my favourite manga, Seven Days, and I was both intrigued and annoyed by that. And when I listened to the story, it at first really was a LOT like Seven Days, even specific scenes. But to be fair, these were all very common tropes, so I didn't really mind. And I fell in love with the characters, and the fact that the story went far beyond the topics of Seven Days. It is truly it's own story and I'm really glad I listened to it despite my first thoughts.
In conclusion: I really enjoyed it! The story is nothing unusual, but I don't read stories because they're "new" and "special". I read them because I love Love, and especially in LGBTQ+ spaces, since we still have a long way to go in this regard. It's nice to listen to those stories and feel a bit of hope for a future that's nicer to all of us queer people.

It is a sweet story, and despite my original scepticism, I was really invested in Kai and Bryson, and I enjoyed it a lot.
And I was very amused when in the author's notes the inspiration by Seven Days was mentioned. The author has good taste ;)

When I bought this audiobook I'd never thought this would be my favorite book this year. I went so deep into this story and felt connected to the characters. I loved every second of it.
