i was annoyed since it gets harder for me to find something i would like. So when i came across that title and read the summary but couldn't decide if it was something for me or not i just thought 'what the h...' and gave it a try. Yeah, it was good but if it says 'dark' then expect it to be 'dark'! There is a lot of angst, depression, torture and rape in that so be advised to not listen to it on a happy day!
But besides that you will have a very interesting and unique story.

unexpectedly good

The hero is a unsure, inmature and agessiv aHole but in the first book its kind of understandable, because exept of his love intresst, doch and his sister all people are aHoles as well and so everything is stupid human shit but balanced... But in the following book there is no reason at all, he is just out of his mind... A study in mental illnes, hate and beeing stupid.
