With a gaggle of increasingly untrustworthy allies, and dangers lurking behind every perfectly trimmed hedge, Dan will need to do the impossible if he wants to beat the system and live to fight another day.

Great story, dark and darkly funny. Really hoping the next book comes out soon. Solid example power fantasy that doesn't trivialize the fights.

Amazing story

The story is exciting and fun and the voice acting is very good, too.
Although, to me as a German the Jacob character is quite funny. I think neither the author nor the narrator have ever actually known heard Germans speak. The narrator sounds like a Japanese and the wording in some of the supposed German scentences is really funny. To provide an example, Jacob adresses Dan as "Bekannter" which is "acquaintance" in English. No German would ever use the word in this way. Actually, this just makes the book even more fun.
