there's no alternative universe in which i will not love & adore ali's books, her brain & her characters. there's just no way i will ever be fed up. there's just something about listening to her stories that just does it for me every single time. the narration is always SO on point, wow!!!
this was incredibly fast paced and i was hooked on the story right when the opening credits rolled around. her take on the "younger brother being in love with his big sister's best friend" is absolutely genius. might be one of my new favorite tropes of all time!!!!!!
i need novels on them, multiple, a whole series, a whole universe! why are those novellas of hers always too short when they're SO good????

In this series, Ali Hazelwood and Tessa Bailey did exactly what I praised Olivia Dade for not doing: portraying abusive, toxic and/or problematic behavior as desirable. “Merry Ever After” was my first Tasha Bailey book, but I’ve read all of Ali Hazelwood books and she has this issue in every single one of her books. I still read them, because she has a talent for dying-from-laughter story plots and there is always such witty dialogue and it’s just easy and light and fun, and because I have had therapy and notice comments or thoughts that are far from okay. However, for young women, these kind of books are extremely harmful.
I want to listen to the book again in the near future and write out all of the things, that I think should not be in a modern book. I’ll update the comment, once I’ll be done.
