The writing is good, the performance is great - But the two protagonists, who are supposedly brilliant, are acting like utter idiots. It starts with both having unprotected "adult funtime" with a total stranger (seriously?), proceeded by Sierra (the younger woman) acting like a selfish, immature teenager - endangering the life's work of the woman she supposedly adores over and over, and being willfully ignorant of the law (which she's supposedly studying with passion and dedication). That's not romantic or sexy but disappointing and sad. I spent more time hoping they Wouldn't hook up, than that they would.

Supposedly smart female protagonists, acting incredibly dumb. Great performance though.
