One of the better ones. I skipped the previous Book and was able to follow the Story.

After Valkyrie I was ready to toss the serious as Craig Alanson really dropped the ball(s) there. Embarassing really. If Skippy was real he would have torn him a new one. Ok, enough of that.

This book is awesome as it ties together some important storylines and mendes some errors that were made earlier in the series. Technically and in terms of character building this could well be the last book in this series and it wouldn't leave a huge gap. That is not to say that this book was perfect. Craig is running out of ideas to save his pirates and resolve the mess for humanity. Somehow I wish I (we really) could help him out with some fresh ideas to resolve some plot problems that he is carrying on (and yes.. there are tons of alternatives that could be used to resolve those conflicts without a "whoopsie I just realized.. hand of god". If you catch my drift.

Despite it's shortcomings I have really enjoyed this installment of the series and R.C. Bray is of course legendary.

Great story made even greater by R C Bray's performance! Craig Alanson has created an amazing Universe akin to the likes of Stargate or the Expanse. And the newest masterpiece in this story is BillB - right on bro! His Dudeness made me laugh so hard!!

By far the most entertaining sci-fi series I’ve ever read or listened to. But this ending (no spoilers) takes it to yet another level.

I really like the Expeditionary Force books but recently Craig Alanson put too many sentences in them where he just breaks off a line of thought in order to create some sort of iterrupting effect. This is really annoying and it does not really make sense to do that for the narrating part of the book. If dialogs between characters are interrupted it is okay but the overall narrator does not have to do this... at least in my opinion.
