Just finished listening to the conclusion of the Deception Trilogy by Rina Kent and I am floored. This series is EVERYTHING!!! It is addictive for sure and I was drawn in from start to finish! The story is nail-biting intense, and the anxiety was almost unbearable at times. I could not put it down, consider my mind blown.

Yes! Rina Kent has outdone herself as in my opinion this might be her best one yet. Again this is one of the best dark mafia romance storylines i have read/listened to this year so far and is without a doubt one of my 2021 favourites!

I have been rooting for Adrian and Lia since book 1, both broken in their own way and hoarding their own deep dark secrets. Lia starts to see a different side to Adrian and is now the one fighting for their love as secrets she kept from him coming to light. Adrian, despite struggling with her deceit still shows that he would stop at nothing for his Linoushka. He still is the obsessive, possessive, ruthless and protective anti-hero and Lia is still strong-minded and defiant but no matter how wicked or twisted or consuming their love is for one another in the end it's red-hot, it´s deep, it´s raw, it´s endless, it´s theirs.

Book 3 slowly fades into where Book 1 left off and more secrets are revealed, and lingering questions are answered. Rina has wrapped this up perfectly, although my feelings are bittersweet, on one hand, I am more than satisfied with the ending but on the other I want it to go on, so if you want dark mafia romance with a twist, intense suspense, angst, danger, secrets, deep consuming love with explosive heat then you abso-freaking-lutely need to grab this series!

I am saying it again my mind is blown and that is not only due to Rina Kent’s wonderfully wicked mind and storytelling but also due to the amazingly passionate and emotional performances by Desireé Ketchum and Jason Clark – both of their Russian accents gave me goosebumps and I am thinking I need more of them as an audio pairing.

Dark Mafia Romance at its best!
