This was one of the best grief writing what i have read. The novel was well balanced, i really liked the characters, and the little-town-myths were unique. The narration was not really for me, i could not distinguish the characters just from the voice-acting and sometimes the dialoges were complicated to follow because of this.

Ein gutes Hörbuch, unterhaltsam, spannend, gut geschrieben (ein Autor, der es versteht, mit seinen Worten Bilder zu malen). Der Sprecher ist angenehm. Insgesamt empfehlenswert.

Malfi's prose is amazing, and this little thriller is sure to have you hooked right from the start. It's not groundbreaking in any sense of the word, and the final minutes might diminish your enjoyment of the entire book, but the narration makes up for that.

Solid story with a divisive ending

An intriguing story with a few twists and an unexpected ghost. The author suggests a few things without following up on them - like making me wonder what exactly the future wife was diving for when the protagonist first met her, as she scribbles everything down in her later famous notebook. But far from being a loose end, this just adds more intrigue, which I personally appreciated. Definitely worth listening to.
