Welcome to Bitter End, Florida, where Piper and her gran, former members of an illicit motorcycle gang and current members of witness protection, are struggling to adapt and maybe stay out of solving murders for a change.

But when the body of a half-naked young woman falls out of a dead dentist’s casket at his funeral, Piper gets assigned the case from the shady PI she met not too long ago. She wants to work alone, but her Gran and her mischief-loving next-door neighbor, Edie, somehow get involved too. And this time, the mischief is out of this world.

As if that’s not enough, there is a senior prom night going on at the retirement complex Piper and Gran are living in, including voting for Prom King and Queen. Too bad Gran is one of the nominees because now the spotlight is on her.

Between prom queen campaigns and diving into the dead woman’s life and uncovering potential ties to her former motorcycle club—not to mention dealing with the infamous foot powder at the retirement complex—Piper has a lot on her plate and something’s gotta give.

Maybe Ryker, the hottest PI around town and her prom date, can ease some of that tension. Or most likely, he’ll add to it.
