Change Your Story, Change Your Life is a practical self-help guide to personal transformation using traditional shamanic techniques combined with journaling and Carl Greer's method for dialoguing that draws upon Jungian active imagination. The exercises inspire listeners to work with insights and energies derived during the use of modalities that tap into the unconscious so that they may consciously choose the changes they would like to make in their lives and begin implementing them.

A magical,perspective

This book is so repetitive that it ends up superficial. In this kind of practice repetition is how we get to depth, but the construction of this book just doesn't create the conditions to achieve that goal. For example, the author poses a series of endless questions intended to lead the reader to their own insights. Unfortunately, this technique is overused, so it loses effect. It winds up reading like a solipsistic exercise. Supplementing the questions with anecdotes and experiences of others, or quotes from other authors, could help the listener get a vision of how these questions can shape their lives and, importantly, their relationship to others. For someone seeking a breakthrough, the questions alone are not enough. While well-intended, this book is sloppily written and poorly furnishes a pathway to the power of Jungian insight. Either the author just isn't a good writer, or they simply haven't done enough of the Jungian work to actually connect with reader. The lack of connection to the other ironically undermines the book's central thesis. Total waste of time, wish I could get my money back.
