I have read all the other Shadowhunter books before and as always, it was a pleasure and an amazing adventure. I do think tho, that the best first book, at least for me, is Lady midnight.
As for chain of gold: I fell in love with the merry thief’s, hated the new villains and as so often, Cassandra Clare left my heart shattered on the ground, ready to be put back together, by the end of this trilogy. I don’t wanna give away to much, so I will end my review of the book here.

Die Figuren sind so gut ausgearbeitet, dass man gar nicht anders kann, als sich in sie alle zu verlieben.
Die Story, wie immer gut konstruiert, basiert auf vorigen Erzählungen (Clockwork Trilogie), funktioniert aber auch hervorragend als eigenständige Geschichte. Dieser erste Teil der Chain of... Trilogie verspricht Grossartiges, leider muss man viel Geduld aufbringen bis der nächste Band erscheint.
Die Sprecherin ist umwerfend. Zum einen ist ihre Stimme samtweich aber nicht kitschig, ihre Aussprache glasklar und ihre Intonation perfekt, zum anderen hat sie einen britischen Akzent zum niederknien.
Volle Punktzahl, kann ich nur empfehlen!
