interesting sci-fi concept, but too sudden jumps in storyline and characters lacking depth. Overall not bad

Interesting but too shallow

Big ideas, delivered at a very slow pace. I recommend the book although it didn't deliver on the grand potential of the concept of a world within the world.

If you only want hard sci-fi you might not be a fan, but the story itself is in my opinion one of Reynolds' best. I really wish there was a part 2 though ):
