just in the middle out of nowhere the voice severely changes as if they gotten better equipment and didnt bother to rerecord from the beginning... very off-putting

I’ve read the previous books in my teens and this was the first audiobook version of a Cain novel and I must say I really enjoyed the performance of all the voice actors! The story was great with some nice callbacks to prevoius adventures.

Despite not beibg a die hard Warhammer 40K fan, the Ciaphas Cain Novels are throughout one of the most accessible and enjoyable one of the whole setting. The dark humor and sharp observations make the stories thoroughly enjoyable for all sci fi, fantasy military novel fans. The reading performance is on spot too.
