Sehr schöne Geschichte aus Perigord .

Wer ruhig erzählte Kriminalfälle liebt, die auch die Landschaft, die Lebensart einer Region erzählen, dem wird dieser Ausflug in deren kulinarische Genüsse sehr gefallen. Der Chef de Police ist auch Chef de Cuisine!

This is a story for people who long for an idyllic past that never really existed. Some might find it charming, I find it naive and just plain stupid. I guess I'm way too cynical for this amount of sentimentality. The author incorporates just about every silly cliché you've ever heard or read about the French, and as a reader I'm somehow supposed to find this cute?! It's cringeworthy.

I douldn't finish this. Bruno will have to eat his baguette, smoke his Gaulloises and drink his red wine without me.
